Drone “clouds” to cover Ukrainian sky

On the 6th of May 2017, dozens of Ukrainian-made drones will hit the sky to celebrate the International Drone Day.

The International Drone Day’s events in Ukraine, marking the drone flying machines’ anniversary, are being organized by “Drone.ua” company. Its founder, Valeriy Iakovenko, has been one of the keynote speakers at the “United by Innovations” conference, held by “Innovation House” in November 2016. Such choice by Ukrainian side is fully justified:  “Drone.ua” is manufacturing drones that are being sold in Ukraine and Europe, opening its offices in the Great Britain and Moldova in the nearest future and planning to enter the markets of Africa and Latin America.

Drones in Ukraine are still uncommon, in some countries “lots of people fear the noise and working on drones’ legal ban” (as International Drone Day’s founders explain the idea of such a large-scale event born in 2015). Last year more than 75 000 people all around the world took part in the festivities.

This year’s schedule comprises more than 150 different events, organized by more than 200 teams in Europe, Asia, Australia, North and South America.

International Drone Day will be held in Ukraine for the third time. Details on program and participation could be found here: https://www.facebook.com/dronedayua
