Juniper to acquire Cyphort company having Ukrainian roots

American technology company Juniper Networks announced its intent to acquire antivirus company Cyphort, that makes solutions for IT security analytics. This is reported by Juniper.

Cofounder of Cyphort – Nick Bilogorskiy, inhabitant of Kharkiv city, who in the late 90’s moved to Canada, and then – to Silicon Valley, USA. He worked for Symantec, Microsoft, Facebook.

Juniper Networks is specializing in telecommunications equipment development. It has own security assurance solution – Sky Advanced Threat Prevention (ATP). The company believes that, when coupled with this development, Cyphort technology will help to boost effectiveness and production, extend range of supported filetypes, and will add new features to detect the threats, that are based on advanced machines and behavioral analytics.

It is expected that acquisition will be closed within the next month, with due allowance for usual transaction completion conditions. Transaction amount is undisclosed.

As a reminder, Ukrainian student startup HELi, that warns of epileptic seizures has passed qualifying stage and will represent Ukraine in Copenhagen at University Startup World Cup 2017 (USWC).
